Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Preparation of Evaluation of Tender / Contract documents and Bill of Quantities

· Quantification of variations as per revised drawings / specifications and follow-up with main contractors/project managers for site work instructions.

· Scheduling & Monitoring the progress of the works, delays, & disruptions of the project, and preparing claims for delays, time extensions, and associated costs.

· Pricing of Variation claims, evaluation with Main Contractors / Project Managers and Finalization of Variation Orders (VO)

· Provide and maintain all backup documentation required for substations of claims/invoices.

· Preparation of forecasts, budgets, and cost control measures.

· Monthly Progressive Billing / Invoicing and follow-up for timely payments

· Maintenance and control of records related to all commercial activities as required by the contract conditions.

· Forwarding contractual correspondences to the main contractor, / Project Manager and subcontractors related to the contractual issues.

· Reporting to the Top management about cash inflow and outflow, providing advice for any commercial issues, and helping to resolve them

· Developing cost-loaded programs, cash flow, & a manpower histogram.

· Established the Project Cost Monitoring System, updated the Project cost progress, and measured the cost variance

· Collect Project Cost Data and Estimate the ETC ( Estimate to complete ) and EAC ( Estimate at completion )

· Preparation of preliminary estimation, budget estimation, detailed estimation (with rate analysis), insurance claims, and administration.

· Visiting the site / attending pre-bid meetings.

· Preparing Project Risk Analysis report.

· Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyzing prices, preparing material and labor cost estimations, and bid price

· Conducting negotiations, identification of cost or pricing data submitted during the negotiations and relied upon in reaching a settlement.

· Preparation of a list of technical queries for consultant clarification.

· Quantity take-off

· Prepare technical and commercial bids, and follow up until finalization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
  • Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer having knowledge and experience in working of MEP Services.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Proven Track Record on completing projects.
  • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
  • Great networking abilities
