Spray Painter

To be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various products and surfaces, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Experienced with various coatings, pre work and to ensure defined production standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
• To work to defined industry & production standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Prepare surfaces in advance of painting by pressure washing, sand and scraping, and cleaning.
• Paint walls and ceilings using spray equipment.
• Perform touch-up work, correct imperfections, and patch holes.
• Use ladders and scaffolding to reach high areas.
• Mask off windows, doors, and other surfaces.
• Use drop cloths to cover floors, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Measure and calculate materials needed and appropriate quantities.
• Support the quality assurance department with respect to quality assurance evaluation of painted products.
• Operating other production equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete product specification and quality requirements.
• Preparing & setup of necessary tools and equipment for painting processes.
• Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements.
• Report production issues and assist in resolutions as required.
• Work on special projects as required.
• Work to companies HSE procedures.
