Job Overview:
We are searching for a seasoned, detail-oriented Carpentry Foreman to oversee our team of carpenters, handle joinery works, interpret drawings, and manage all requirements for furniture in fit-out and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in carpentry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of carpenters and joiners.
Understand and interpret project drawings and specifications.
Manage all aspects of furniture requirements, including selection, acquisition, placement, and installation.
Ensure quality standards and deadlines are met for all carpentry tasks.
Resolve any issues or delays that could impact the project timeline.
Coordinate with other construction team leaders to ensure smooth project progression.
Train and mentor carpenters, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Uphold all safety and compliance standards on the construction site.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
Proven experience as a Carpentry Foreman or similar role.
Solid understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
Excellent knowledge of construction processes, safety guidelines, and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent leadership and personnel management skills.
Strong problem-solving capabilities.
