Culinary Instructor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Culinary Instructor to join our team and provide engaging cooking classes to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to create memorable culinary experiences for participants of all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Class Planning and Preparation:
• Develop creative and educational cooking class concepts that align with our brand and appeal to our target audience.
• Plan class content, including recipes, cooking techniques, and instructional materials.
• Prepare ingredients, equipment, and kitchen space before each class to ensure a smooth and efficient cooking experience.
• Instruction and Demonstration:
• Lead cooking classes with enthusiasm and energy, providing clear and engaging instruction to our guests.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices in a professional and approachable manner.

Menu Development:

• Create diverse and appealing menus for cooking classes, considering dietary restrictions, seasonal ingredients, and culinary trends.
• Develop and adapt recipes to suit the skill levels and preferences of participants.

Customer Interaction:

• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions, providing cooking tips, and offering assistance as needed.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the kitchen, encouraging participation and collaboration among class attendees.

Kitchen Management:

• Manage kitchen operations during cooking classes, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, replenishing as needed and keeping track of expenses.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef, Culinary Instructor, or Cooking Class Facilitator.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
• Passion for teaching and sharing knowledge, with a patient and encouraging teaching style.
• Food handler's certification or equivalent food safety training.
