Job Description

We are looking for a Housekeeper for our subsidiary company Synergy Healing Centre Centre & Cafe, you are required to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. You will be in charge of maintaining all public and private spaces to employer standards. The goal is to keep the work area clean and in an orderly condition. To provide a punctual, thorough but fast service. Eager to learn with attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring that they are clean, and have all the supplies and equipment are available and laid out according to procedure.
  • Dusting and cleaning ceiling vents, surface areas, and counter surfaces, furniture etc.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and sanitisation of the premises and ensure that any wasted material is properly disposed of every day
  • Change linen, ensure a clean supply of fresh sheets and towels and aprons in treatment rooms
  • Sanitise bathrooms, grooming rooms and wet areas as per the standards set by the SHC management
  • Keep clients/customers lockers clean
  • Assume responsibility for opening and closing the SHC at designated times
  • Assist with the resetting of rooms and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility
  • Polishing furniture and room accessories as needed
  • Performs general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors to the main standards required
  • Using vacuuming equipment; vacuum floors, perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Scrubbing sinks, basins, and toilets in both private and public bathrooms
  • Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
  • Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
  • Ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  • Keeping all workspaces neat and tidy
  • Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff

Requirements:

  • General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning
  • Ability to follow verbal directions
  • Ability to work well alone and with a partner or team
  • Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
  • Organised and able to follow a schedule
  • Positive attitude towards work and colleagues
  • Pay attention to detail when cleaning
  • High School Diploma
  • Certification in Hygiene Training
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time; physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods; ability to lift to 25 to 30 pounds
  • Should be trained on Manual Handling as part of Health and Safety
