Laboratory Assistant

Full job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of lab equipment and materials for experiments and tests.
• Perform routine laboratory tasks such as sample preparation, labeling, and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Record and analyze data accurately, maintaining detailed and organized lab records.
• Assist with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to established procedures.
• Support senior lab staff in conducting experiments and research activities.
• Prepare reports and presentations on lab findings as required.
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting.
• Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
