Full job description

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with their purchases.
• Scan and ring up items accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Answer customer questions and provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags and maintaining supplies.
• Upsell additional products or services to customers as appropriate.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Follow all safety and security procedures to prevent theft and loss.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
• Basic math skills and the ability to make accurate calculations quickly.
