Security Officer

Full job description

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address security risks.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, investigating disturbances and contacting emergency services when necessary.
• Report security breaches, incidents, and suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist with the implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
• Provide assistance and support to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Participate in training sessions and emergency drills to enhance preparedness.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and record keeping.
