Job Description

The Customer Service is responsible for processing Import/export (Air/Ocean/Land & Logistics ) shipments while coordinating with the internal customer service group. He/she will be responsible for achieving high accuracy through our forwarding systems to ensure high productivity and operational excellence & Follow up to ensure that appropriate actions were taken on customers' requests and queries.

  • Responsible for customer service internally, bookings, documentation, and execution of routing for assigned shipments.
  • Responsible for communicating information and instructions to/from vendors
  • Arrange all product freight services as guidelines provided by manager.
  • Verifies that shipments are processed through Customs and ports.
  • Responsible for assisting department co-workers with problems, issues, and questions.
  • Responsible for informing management of progress and requirements of the department
  • Responsible for reviewing all documents and notify exceptions to customer service.
  • Assists the day-to-day operations of the export and import department to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Communicate with clients, co-workers, and supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner through email - monitoring emails at all time
  • Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.
  • Advise department Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.
  • Further increase customer satisfaction and business share through proactive and regular contact. Establish customer communication preference, i.e., phone, e-mail, fax, visit
  • Work with Sales on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Operations, for assigned customers as per business requirements
  • Handle and manage all customer contact at file level regarding exceptions
  • Assist Sales in compiling quotes by providing rates, tariffs, etc.
  • Any Other task assigned by Manager from time to time based on business exigencies
  • Quotation Follow Ups, Shipping instructions, /Updates & Delivery of invoices
  • Shipment Follow Ups, Track & Trace of the Shipment
  • Shipping instructions & Follow Ups, Engagement to obtain agents invoices with the correct costs.
