Fashion Buyer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fashion Buyer to join our in-house team. The successful candidate will be responsible for physically selecting and curating products from our existing inventory to be sold in our online and retail stores, analyzing market trends and customer data to inform purchasing decisions, and managing the product selection process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify trends in the fashion industry to inform purchasing decisions
• Review and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product selection and buying decisions
• Select and curate a range of fashion products from our existing inventory to be sold on in our retail store and online
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and product launches
• Forecast sales and manage inventory to ensure an optimal product mix and minimize excess inventory
• Continuously review and assess the performance of products, making adjustments to the selection as needed
• Ensure proper pricing for all products specific to the eCommerce strategy
• Work with eCommerce team to ensure proper flow of product to eCommerce websites in support of the category/brand vision
• Liaising with the team to ensure the product offered is right for our customers and supports our business objectives
• Update website merchandising to accurately reflect both eCommerce and Concept Retail sales, trends and initiatives

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in fashion buying, preferably in an eCommerce or online retail environment
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform purchasing decisions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with retail software systems is a plus
• Passion for fashion and a strong understanding of current trends
• Specific knowledge in footwear trends and brands preferable
• Must be driven to excel and succeed, taking full ownership for his or her success
• Superior communication skills; able to communicate persuasively, influentially and responsibly across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
