Competencies Required:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering and related studies from accredited university or institution;
2. Minimum of 5 years working (industrial) experience in the field of HSE;
3. NEBOSH/OSHA-Diploma holder in relevant field(s);
4. Should have attended seminars and courses of international standards in the field of Wastewater Management and wastewater-related special HSE-related risks and their assessment and prevention (added advantage);
5. Fluent in English language written and spoken; preferably Arabic speaking;
6. Proficiency in MS office applications;
7. Experienced in developing, applying and managing Health, Safety and Environment Management System;
8. Ability to train staff in HSE-related issues;
9. Very good manual- and report-writing skills;
KRAs (Key Responsible Areas):
1. Ensure HSE-compliance according to local laws and international standards at all workplaces;
2. Prior Risk Assessment and Supervision of normal/standard and non-standard works;
3. Maintaining and improving existing permit-to-work system and procedures;
4. Identify, report and eliminate all HSE-related risks on all levels (e.g. equipment, process, operational, procedural, documentation-wise, training-/education-wise);
5. Ensuring that emergency & evacuation plans and the relevant procedures are available and updated in coordination with Civil Defense;
6. Having overall responsibility in providing, identifying, completing, amending and updating all HSE related documentation;
7. Having overall responsibility in making available/accessible and educate about all HSE related documentation and procedures (as hard- and softcopy version) to all staff members;
8. Conducting necessary safety drills and toolbox-talks;
9. Ensuring that all safety related equipment and tools are well maintained as per the standard of the civil defense and the supplier/manufacturer of the equipment and readily available at all times in orderly manner;
10. Regular inspection of all work places in WWTS, and suggesting necessary improvements on precautionary measures min. once every 6 (six) months;
11. Submitting monthly HSE-reports for Management;
12. Provide, maintain, update and file all HSE-relevant documentation as evidence.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
1. Availability of all HSE-relevant updated documentation at any time for anybody;
2. Availability of all safety related equipment and tools in well maintained and orderly manner;
3. Availability of complete and consistent documentation of all actions taken, trainings provided, tests and inspections performed etc.
