· Prepare reports related to health and safety violations by departments or employees and report to Manager.
· Ensure adherence to proper guidelines, UAE law, and company internal regulations at all the times.
· Implements and maintains a health, safety and environment program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance.
· Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
· Report to the HSE Manager weekly and assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects as required and as informed by the management.
· Investigate the root cause of all HSE complaints put forward by staff members/personnel and report the result to the HSE Manager.
· In coordination with HSE Manager provide, develop, and coordinate programs and staff training on general safety, industrial hygiene, environment protection, and emergency preparedness and schedule periodic training meetings, review training materials, discuss new issues, foster awareness of the importance of safety and compliance among all employees.
· Respond to emergencies involving fire, and hazardous material handling and perform activities like utilizing firefighting equipment and techniques.
· Inspect assigned apparatus and equipment; clean and perform routine maintenance on the same.
· Administer first aid and/or CPR when necessary.
· Assist in preparing HSE plans, completing reports, and providing Health and Safety training.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required by the direct manager.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in any related course
A minimum (3) years of experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing company
Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedure
Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
Basic knowledge on hands-on experience in maintaining production machines and lab equipment
