Manage overall information technology infrastructure and computer systems.
Firewall administration, develop inbound and outbound policies for network traffic, license management, CCTV Server management, IP telephony, ERP/SIS server, Barcode, and ID card, intranet and internet Security, Biometric system admin, etc.
Administration of email server system and its users, distribution lists, security policies.
Manage and maintain campus server machines, its virtual servers, and maintain regular backups and checkpoints for its running instances.
Campus-wide software license and classroom technology maintenance and support.
Provide regular training on the effective use of technology resources.
Webserver administration, backup, and domain administration.
Wireless mesh management, hotspot token administration, bandwidth throttling, and generating usage statistics and reports for throughput optimization.
Authorized college liaison with the Internet Service Provider (Etisalat/Du) for telephony and internet-related affairs.
Plan, organize, administer and control all electronic data operations.
Design, implement and enforce ICT policies and procedures, propose amends when required for approval.
Plan, design and execute backup solutions, and its policies for data retention and disaster recovery - (onsite/offsite).
Regular audit of all ICT systems and assess their outcomes.
Moodle LMS administration, library server administration, backup schedule, etc.
ICT asset tracking, inventory, and consumables management.
VLAN management for voice and data traffic, inter-VLAN routing, and segregation, antivirus server and license administration, updates, etc.
Compile the software and hardware requirements from all the departments yearly.
Maintain a log of ICT trouble ticket management system administration, supervision of case escalation if needed, and completion status.
Expected Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
English Language proficiency is required.
Minimum of three years of experience in an academic institution is preferable.
Relevant IT Certifications are preferable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
