Follows the organization procedures and policies in relation to the purchase of all products and services; ensure compliance with UAE Laws relative to the purchasing function.
Manages complex bid processes including vendors to be solicited, requests for proposals, evaluation of returned proposals, selection of vendors and award of contracts, ensures fair and open competition
Writes and analyzes complex requests for proposal and prepares recommendations that are legal, ethical and demonstrate best value to the organization.
Negotiates contracts, pricing discounts and pricing agreements with vendors with an emphasis on maximizing value for all organization funds spent, processing of purchase orders and other procurement instruments.
Maintains procurement documents in a systematic retrievable manner.
Supports the manager in the effective implementation of the company's procurement strategy ensuring alignment to the overall business plan to sustain business growth and profitability.
Implements business strategies laid down by the manager responsive to changes in market environment.
Assists the manager in preparation of Reports and presentation of the procurement function for senior management and board committee reviews- " Annual Operational Reports", "Operating Budget" and agenda.
Manages suppliers and subcontractors to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality
Coordinates with vendor on continuous quality improvement
Maintains and reviews computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
Researches and evaluates suppliers and subcontractors, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
Writes and reviews product specifications, maintaining a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased
