Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Russian Language Teacher to join our educational team. As a Russian teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that help students develop proficiency in Russian language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore Russian culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Russian and committed to helping students achieve their language learning goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the needs of students at various proficiency levels.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to engage students in meaningful language learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Integrate cultural content and real-world contexts into lessons to deepen students' understanding of Russian language and culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities and promote cross-cultural understanding.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in language teaching and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Russian language, Education, Linguistics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Russian, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience teaching Russian language and culture to students of varying ages and proficiency levels.
  • Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories, teaching methodologies, and instructional strategies for teaching Russian.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and create a supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for language teaching and learning.
  • Certification or licensure in teaching Russian (if required by state or institution).
  • Commitment to professional growth, reflective practice, and cultural competence.
