Job Description:
As a Surveyor, your role is integral to our team's land surveying and site development efforts. You will be responsible for conducting surveys, taking precise measurements, and marking coordinates to support various construction and land development projects. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying and proficiency in operating specific surveying instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize DVRS Instruments (e.g., Trimble or equivalent) and Auto-leveling instruments for accurate site surveys and measurements.
Conduct site surveys to determine property boundaries, topographical features, and existing infrastructure.
Set up and maintain survey equipment to ensure accurate readings and measurements.
Collect, record, and manage data related to site coordinates, elevations, and other relevant information.
Prepare detailed survey reports and maps, including digital data and traditional paper documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure surveys align with project objectives.
Mark and demarcate survey points using appropriate markers, stakes, or other means.
Interpret survey data and provide insights to support decision-making and project planning.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in land surveying.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a Surveyor.
Proficiency in using DVRS Instruments (e.g., Trimble or equivalent) and Auto-leveling instruments.
Knowledge of surveying techniques, data collection methods, and relevant software tools.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and record-keeping.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and protocols.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of terrain.
A relevant certification or degree in land surveying or a related field is a plus.
