Social Responsibility

In February 2020, we have shifted to solar energy at our main factory, which is now powered by a 1.4-megawatt peak (MWp) solar rooftop equipped with 3,726 photovoltaic solar panels which roughly equals the surface area of 27 tennis courts that can generate 2.3 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of solar energy. The project covers 73% of the company’s annual energy needs, allowing Bayara to reduce its carbon footprint emissions by approximately 908 tons which is equivalent of planting over 25,000 trees per year.

We have also launched our first sustainably constructed Shop in Shop counter in Carrefour Masdar, Abu Dhabi, which uniquely utilizes eco-friendly raw material like acrylic and eliminates unsustainable elements such as glue, adhesives and silicon.
