A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) /preferred/
Must have a valid Driving License
Knowledge of accounting principles: Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is essential which includes understanding financial statements, accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and basic cost accounting.
Financial analysis skills: The ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate meaningful reports is crucial in accounting roles.
Proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet software.
Bookkeeping and record-keeping: A solid understanding of bookkeeping practices, including maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and recording financial transactions accurately.
Taxation knowledge: Familiarity with tax laws and regulations both Oman & UAE
Software proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software used programs include QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials, and other industry-specific software.
Attention to detail: Accurate and meticulous work, reconciling accounts, identifying errors, and preparing financial statements.
Industry knowledge: Familiarity with the tourism industry and its unique accounting considerations, such as revenue recognition for bookings and inventory management for hotels or travel agencies.
Proficient in ERP Next System.
