Accountant

We have an immediate opening for an Accountant. We are seeking a Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / ICA / CMA / CPA with a minimum of 3 years of UAE experience in a similar role in a Real Estate Developer Industry. Candidates with relevant experience only need to apply.

Main Function:

• Assist management with the consolidation of monthly accounting reports
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary support.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Manage and comply with local and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Preparing financial statements for statutory audits and tax books
• Creating journal entries in the accounting systems (accruals, provisions, IFRS accounting)
• Administering payrolls, payables and receivables controlling income and expenditure.
• Ensure timely bank payments and bank reconciliations and coordination with shared services centre.
• Preparing and filing VAT returns
• Preparing corporate tax returns and TP documentation in coordination with the Finance Manager
• Ad hoc reporting as and when required by management
• Assist in Balance sheet reconciliation.
• Intercompany reconciliations and billings

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance / Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / ICA / CMA / CPA
• Adept knowledge of advanced MS Excel and accounting software Zoho.
• Experience in using Govt portals of DLD, Oqood, TAS, FTA etc.
• 1-3 years of work experience in similar roles with Real Estate Developers.
