Duties and Responsibilities:

- Financial Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries. Maintain proper documentation and ensure data integrity.

- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Prepare and issue payments to vendors and reconcile accounts payable statements. Assist with customer billing, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.

- Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with the accounting records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any variances or errors.

- General Ledger Maintenance: Support the maintenance of the general ledger by recording transactions, updating accounts, and performing account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

- Expense Management: Assist in managing and reconciling employee expense reports. Review expense claims for accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to company policies.

- Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and customers to resolve financial inquiries and discrepancies. Communicate effectively and professionally in person, via email, and over the phone.

- Compliance and Regulations: Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.

- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred. (CA intern, CPA, ACCA preferred)
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Xero, etc.) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GAAP) is a plus.
