Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they arrive at the store and provide them with assistance in finding what they need.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and questions in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process cash, credit card and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate the cash register, handle cash and make change as necessary.
  • Keep track of all transactions and ensure that all cash is accounted for at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure that the store is well-stocked.
  • Assist in the pricing and labeling of merchandise.
  • Assist in unloading deliveries and stocking shelves.
  • Assist in other store tasks as needed, such as cleaning and organizing.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and ensure that all transactions are conducted in compliance with local and federal laws.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in customer service and cash handling.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Basic math skills and ability to handle money and make change accurately.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems.

Ability to lift and move heavy items, as necessary.
