Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Ecommerce in Dubai. The Head of Ecommerce will manage, oversee, and develop the company's e-commerce operations. They will be responsible for planning, implementing, and executing online strategies to drive sales growth, increase site traffic, and improve the user experience. The Head of Ecommerce will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure a consistent brand message and strategy across all channels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end performance of multiple brand businesses across all key inputs from product selection, pricing, experience, product fulfillment, and platform marketing.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate growth for the business.
- Create plans to achieve targets and manage the e-commerce team.
- ·Recommend and execute compelling web promotions and offerings to drive customer acquisition and engagement.
- Architect user experience and manage workflow of all of our brands' web platforms (web, email, social).
- Identify business needs, and develop project requirements and other documentation as required.
- Lead development of internal processes for content management, product development, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a thought leader, identifying new revenue opportunities through research, business unit feedback, and sales performance analysis.
- Research and analyze industry trends, seeking opportunities to bridge gaps in business objectives, pushing the business forward to exceed financial targets.
- Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
- Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability.
- Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns.
- Identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking.
- Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop eCommerce solutions.
- Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in CS, Marketing, or a related field);
- A strong proven track record, have experience as a leader, or developed/worked in a startup operation is a plus.
- 5–10 years of eCommerce experience
- Strong Presentation, oral, and written communication skills required.
- Knowledge of financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and P/L management.
- Expertise in emerging E-commerce tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Deep experience optimizing SEO, CRO, PPC, ROI Analytics, digital marketing, and email marketing.
- Previous experience in Fashion is an advantage.
- Experience with B2C or B2B eCommerce
- Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technologies and analytics
- Experience managing and mentoring direct report(s) and a track record of helping more junior team members develop and excel.
