About the Role
Our fast-growing company is seeking to hire a “Procurement Manager” who will be responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, He plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
Procurement Manager must be able to analyse data and processes, find creative solutions, generate reports and present findings to upper management and other departments, communicate with external suppliers and buyers, comprehend legal documents, and developing lasting relationships with others. They must proactive problem solvers with a desire to collaborate with others.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
· Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
· Determine key supply chain KPIs.
· Suggest solutions for process improvements.
· Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
· Train and evaluate others.
· Provide constructive feedback.
· Work with finance, sales, and technical team to determine best vendors and distributors
· Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
· Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
· Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
· Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
· Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
· Understanding of principles of accounting and finance.
· Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions.
· Diagram supply chain models to help facilitate discussions with customers.
· Process data, identifying problematic areas and suggesting improvements
· Design and implement necessary supply chain optimization projects
· Analyze, optimize, and oversee inventory procedures
· Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
· Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move or store materials.
· Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
· Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
· Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
· Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, Technical, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
· Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
· Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
· Design or implement supply chains that support environmental policies.
· Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
· Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
· Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
· Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
· Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
· Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
· Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
· Conduct or oversee the conduct of life cycle analyses to determine the environmental impacts of products, processes, or systems.
· Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory.
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Qualification:
· Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline, Master degree will be preferred.
· Education in supply chain Management or Procurement Planning or warehousing will be preferred
· Well versed with Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point tools
Related Experience:
· 05 to 10 Years of Experience in relevant position
· Experience with I.T. organization is Mandatory
· Any certification or training courses on inventory management or supply chain are preferred
