The Ward Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of a healthcare facility's ward or unit. This position involves providing essential assistance to nursing and medical staff in maintaining a clean, organized, and patient-friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed by the nursing staff.
• Escort patients to various hospital departments for tests, procedures, and appointments.
• Maintain a compassionate and supportive attitude towards patients.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in patient rooms and common areas.
• Stock and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist in the changing and making of beds.
• Transfer patients within the ward or between departments using appropriate equipment.
• Collect and deliver specimens, medications, and other items as instructed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Report any concerns or changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
