Job Description:

  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements and pricing.
  • Regularly assess vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Generate and process purchase orders in accordance with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine procurement needs and specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain detailed and organized procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor correspondence.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for project audits and compliance.
  • Conduct cost analyses and comparisons to identify cost-effective procurement options.
  • Monitor and control project procurement budgets, working closely with the finance department.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that procured materials and services meet established standards.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues related to procurement.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, ensuring clarity on specifications, delivery schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a construction or civil engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering terminology, materials, and processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
