Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Officer. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for day-to-day procurement tasks, including generating purchase orders, negotiating contracts, and purchasing materials. This role is located in Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.

Procurement Process:

  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings.

Contract Management:

  • Draft and review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a comprehensive contract database.

Quotation Management:

  • Send inquiries, receive quotations, and prepare Quotation Comparison Statements for both local and imported items.
  • Engage in negotiations and place Purchase Orders with suppliers worldwide.

Compliance:

  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities and expenses.
  • Assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three 3 - 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer
  • Experience in generating purchase orders and negotiating contracts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Procurement and Purchasing experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP MM
  • Experience in the construction or industrial sector is a plus
