Job Description

As a Production Engineer in a furniture factory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of furniture products. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks related to production processes, quality control, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning: Collaborate with production managers and other departments to create and maintain production schedules. Ensure that production targets are met while optimizing resource utilization.

Machine Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery used in the production process. Schedule routine maintenance to prevent downtime.

Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment by ensuring that safety protocols are followed. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to prevent accidents.

Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to production staff, ensuring they understand and follow established procedures and safety guidelines.

Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.

Documentation: Maintain records of production data, quality reports, and inventory levels. Generate reports for management as required.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and seek ways to reduce the factory's environmental impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for design and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
