Job Description

An Assistant Accountant supports the financial operations of a company by performing administrative and clerical duties. They are responsible for the accuracy of financial statements and information. Other duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant include:

  • Working on preparing and maintaining of all financial data on month on month basis and preparing for month close along with the senior Accountant
  • Cash Counting, Updating and reconciling financial ledgers, Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets for the company
  • Reconciliation of books of accounts with vendors and customers and performing necessary actions
  • Preparing Bank Reconciliation Statement on monthly basis
  • Working on entering the day today sales data for all the staffs and prepare a draft
  • Paycheck file every month and liaise with the senior accountant for discussion and finalisation
  • Liaising with the Freight Forwarder in providing all the necessary documentation for shipment and providing support for smooth clearance of shipment from the customs
  • Taking care of all the renewals due in course of time (Kiosk, Accommodation, and Warehouse) and preparation of necessary documentation and ensuing to keep the management updated on the same
  • Taking of all the necessary works for the initial set up of new kiosk in any of the shopping malls (ordering of Credit Card Machines, Documents required in the kiosk, products requirements, mall requirements)
  • Ensuring of on time renewal of all the third party Insurance in the company
  • Reporting discrepancies, mistakes or potential fraud to senior management
  • Managing employee expense claims
