An Accounts Assistant plays a crucial role in the financial department of a company, supporting accountants and other financial staff by performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Here are the typical job responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant:
Duties and Responsibilities
- ONLY with UAE experience (3-5 Years)
- Strong working knowledge of standard accounting practices in the UAE including VAT compliance
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Administrate and track all invoices
- Assist day-to-day office activities
- Manage contact details for all customer accounts departments
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Cash Handling
- Prepare financial report
- Proficient in MS Excel
- To receive and process all invoices, expense forms, and requests for payment.
- Working knowledge of accounting and financial processes
- Verify calculations and input codes into the Accounts system in an accurate manner.
- Comfortable with computers, accounting software, spreadsheet software and other financial computer applications
- To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed every week.
- ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare cheques for payment.
- To ensure that all post is sent daily.
- To maintain the monthly reconciliation worksheets for all items available in the Balance Sheet.
- Maintaining bookkeeping and office accounting needs
- Collecting payments and updating accounts payable and receivable records
- To prepare monthly reports requested by the Management
- To strictly adhere to the Company’s Policy on Confidentiality and Ethics
- To perform all other tasks as requested by management
