Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop innovative design concepts that reflect the client's vision, functional requirements, and aesthetic preferences.
- Lead the design process from initial sketches and mood boards to detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives, and present design proposals effectively.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess spatial requirements, site conditions, and any constraints that may impact the design.
- Generate comprehensive design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and material selections.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns, fostering their growth and development within the firm.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into our designs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and referrals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent conceptual and spatial design skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts persuasively.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing design teams and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Professional certification or licensure (e.g., NCIDQ) preferred but not required.
