Compliance Officer and Documentation Control Specialist

Job Overview:

AGC is seeking a Compliance Officer and Documentation Control Specialist, focusing on banking compliance and logistics documentation. This role requires a professional with banking industry experience and the ability to manage logistics documentation processes. The candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance and overseeing logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, with a focus on banking regulations including KYC and AML.

- Ensure adherence to banking compliance standards and manage all banking-related communication and liaisons.

- Regularly audit and analyze the company’s compliance with UAE banking laws and regulations.

- Prepare detailed compliance reports for management and banking institutions.

- Update and maintain all company documentation, ensuring it meets banking and regulatory standards.

- Lead and manage a logistics coordinator in terms of documentation control for import and export processes.

- Provide guidance, assign tasks, and set deadlines for the logistics coordinator to meet all logistics needs effectively.

- Monitor the logistics coordinator’s performance, ensuring efficient management of logistics operations and documentation.

- Stay informed about changes in banking and logistics regulations and compliance requirements.

- Conduct training sessions on banking and logistics compliance and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the banking industry.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

- Proven experience working in banks, with in-depth knowledge of banking processes and regulations.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Proficiency in compliance software and document management systems.

Desirable Skills:

- Certification in Compliance, such as Certified Compliance Professional (CCP).

- Experience in managing logistics documentation and coordinating logistics operations.

- Ability to lead and manage staff, setting clear goals and expectations.
