Responsibilities:
1. Project Evaluation:
· Conduct in-depth reviews of design plans, fitout specifications, and exhibition requirements.
· Collaborate with design teams and project managers to understand the creative and technical aspects of projects.
2. Cost Estimation:
· Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for fitout, and exhibition projects, encompassing materials, labor, specialty items, and project-specific elements.
· Utilize industry-specific knowledge and benchmarks to enhance the precision of cost estimates.
3. Bid Preparation:
· Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals in response to RFPs and RFQs for interior design and exhibition projects.
· Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty vendors to obtain quotes for unique project components.
4. Creative Solutions:
· Work collaboratively with design teams to offer cost-effective and innovative solutions while maintaining the desired aesthetic and functional aspects of the projects.
· Provide value engineering options to optimize costs without compromising design integrity.
5. Specialized Knowledge:
· Stay informed about the latest trends, materials, and technologies relevant to interior design, fitout, and exhibition projects.
· Apply specialized knowledge in areas such as lighting, materials, and spatial design to enhance estimating accuracy.
6. Communication:
· Effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather project-specific information and clarify design and technical details.
· Present cost estimates and proposals to internal stakeholders and clients, emphasizing unique considerations for interior and exhibition projects.
7. Risk Assessment:
· Identify and assess risks associated with exhibition projects, providing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
· Collaborate with project teams to address unique challenges in the estimation process.
8. Leadership:
· Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and collaborate with design and project management teams to enhance cross-functional cooperation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the exhibition industry.
In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools specific to interior and exhibition projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Creative problem-solving skills and an eye for design.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and creative work environment.
