Job Summary:
As an IT Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining an organization's
Information technology infrastructure. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations
of IT systems, providing technical support to end-users, implementing and managing security
measures, and ensuring the overall efficiency and reliability of the IT environment.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
· Administer and maintain servers, workstations, and other IT infrastructure components.
· Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and patches.
· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.
User Support:
· Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related issues.
· Assist in the setup and configuration of user accounts, email, and other access credentials.
· Conduct user training sessions to enhance overall IT literacy within the organization.
Network Management:
· Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
· Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and implement necessary solutions.
· Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access.
VoIP Network Management:
· Manage and maintain the organization's VoIP network infrastructure (AVAYA), including
· VoIP servers, switches, and related devices.
· Troubleshoot VoIP network connectivity issues and implement necessary solutions.
· Implement and manage VoIP-specific security measures to protect against unauthorized access.
Data Backup and Recovery:
· Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures.
· Regularly test and verify data backups to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
Security Management:
· Implement and manage security protocols to safeguard the organization's IT assets.
· Monitor for security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
· Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats and implement preventive measures.
· Hardware and Software Procurement:
· Collaborate with vendors to procure hardware and software components.
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve the organization's IT infrastructure.
Documentation:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
· Create and update user manuals and IT policies.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· Proven experience in IT administration, system maintenance, and user support.
· Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and security protocols.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are desirable
