A leading oil and grease trading company is looking for a Logistics Executive responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the flow of raw materials and products from suppliers to customers.
Follow-up of daily operations to ensure that the department's goals are achieved in terms of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness, in addition to managing logistics systems.
Tasks:
- Scheduling shipments and deliveries.
- Ensure goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner.
-Supervising the transportation of goods from one location to another, and arranging their pick-up and delivery with shipping companies accordingly.
-Dealing with and supporting all client requirements using all possible sources.
-Ensure that all parties work together to ensure shipments are packed, dispatched and delivered in a timely manner.
- Communicate with different carriers to get freight quotes and decide on the best one in terms of cost, availability and reliability.
Responsibilities
-Take responsibility for the success or failure of the material shipment and delivery schedule.
-Responsible for troubleshooting any issue related to international cargo transportation.
-Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all transportation and merchandise.
-Responsible for preparing appropriate and accurate logistics reports for administration.
-Responsible for planning and tracking shipment of finished products according to customer requirements.
-Responsible for using logistics systems or software to improve procedures.
