Responsibilities:
- Document Translation:
- Translate a variety of documents, including legal documents, contracts, reports, correspondence, and technical manuals.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical correctness, linguistic accuracy, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Interpretation:
- Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events as needed.
- Facilitate communication between Arabic-speaking and English-speaking individuals by accurately interpreting spoken language.
- Cultural Adaptation:
- Understand and respect cultural nuances and sensitivities when translating or interpreting communications.
- Ensure that translated materials are culturally appropriate and relevant to the target audience.
- Research and Terminology Management:
- Conduct research and reference materials to ensure accurate translation of specialized terminology and industry-specific terms.
- Maintain a database of translated terms and terminology for future reference and consistency.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of translated materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients or internal teams to clarify translation requirements and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Arabic language, linguistics, translation, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a translator, preferably in a professional or corporate environment.
- Native-level proficiency in Arabic and fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong understanding of Arabic grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
- Knowledge of translation software and tools is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in translation.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural differences.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Translate written and verbal communications from Arabic to English and vice versa.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in translation while maintaining the original meaning and intent.
