Role
You will be a value creation investment professional within Clermont Group’s operating company division driving growth, strategy and change initiatives at our operating companies (“Opcos”). The role involves a mix of strategy (defining the business model and strategic priorities) and operations (partnering with management to drive execution). You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to Clermont’s public markets investment business (Clermont Capital).

Responsibilities
Work alongside Clermont investment lead and Opco management to develop and refine the business model, strategy and tactical plans for the Opcos
Analyse business opportunities and prepare business cases / financial projections for new initiatives
Be a “change agent” at Opcos – drive day-to-day execution of initiatives and ensure that business goals are being met
Assist with business development initiatives, as required
Conduct quarterly and monthly business performance analysis and reporting
Produce internal presentations, business analytics and other deliverables as required

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
4-7 years’ experience in strategy consulting, private equity value creation or operating experience in a business role at a high-growth or early-stage business
Experience in aerospace or financial services industry is preferred
Excellent commercial understanding and perspective – the ability to “think like an entrepreneur”
Good financial analysis and modelling skills
Very strong attention to detail and ability to “own the numbers”
Strong relational skills – able to represent the company and interact with senior stakeholders
Ability to work easily across cultures and geographies
Good communication skills
Ability to work at speed, multi-task and prioritise effectively
Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
Positive attitude; an “energizer”
Hunger to learn - you will be given the opportunity to do work far beyond the scope of a traditional private equity operating role

Administrative Details

Start date: Immediate

Compensation: Competitive base salary

Benefits: Medical insurance; 21 days annual leave

Education: Degree from first-class institution, preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering

Experience: 4-7 years of professional experience. Experience in aerospace or financial services preferred

Languages: Excellent command of English required (written and spoken)

Reporting: Reports directly to the Managing Director / Vice President

Travel: Predominantly based in Dubai, though some international travel may be required
