Job position: IMPORT-EXPORT Shipping Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Import-Export Shipping Coordinator who will have good knowledge of arranging and handling documentation for importing and exporting our commodities. He should have to maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers, and the logistics team for smooth functioning. The company mainly deals with food products (sugar, meat) and medical products (medical masks, gloves, etc.). He should have the experience to deal with any of the above commodities, which will be an advantage.

Job Description:

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate organization and completion of all shipping-related tasks. This position will coordinate and track shipment documents, ensure all orders are packaged, labelled, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner, and communicate with Logistics team, vendors, customers, and other departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer orders, including verifying quantities, labelling and packaging items, and confirming accuracy.
  • Process shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Liaising with the buyer, customer and the logistics team.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Track shipments and delivery dates, and update customers as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipping information and order status.
  • Schedule and coordinate pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including dates, costs, and tracking numbers.
  • Must have knowledge of UAE customs clearance and the procedure.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree level or equivalent
  • 3- 5 years of UAE experience in a shipping/logistics role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.

· UAE Valid Driving License Preferred

· Proficiency in English

· Immediate Joiner preferred
