Logistics Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers
  • Develop and implement logistics plans and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other service providers
  • Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and cost savings
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of records
  • Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers

Logistics Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and processes<li> Understanding of inventory management and forecasting
