Job Purpose:

Main Responsibilities:
1. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
2. Assess supplier capabilities, quality, and reliability to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
3. Collaborate with projects team and other relevant stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop procurement plans.
4. Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and budget constraints.
5. Analyse bids and quotations received from suppliers, considering multiple factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines, payment terms, and others
6. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
7. Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
8. Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers to address any delays or issues.
9. Work closely with the finance department to track and control projects procurement costs.
10. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
11. Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that procured materials and equipment meet the required standards and address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
12. Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and correspondence.
13. Generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and vendor performance.
Qualifications
1. Background in mechanical engineering, industrial or relevant background.
2. Previous procurement experience in MEP industry
3. In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, processes, and best practices.
4. Excellent negotiation skills.
5. Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Excellent skills in computer related software
