Welfare Officer
Job Summary:
The Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring the well-being of construction site workers by providing support related to health, hygiene, accommodation, grievance handling, and general working/living conditions. The role requires close coordination with site management, HR, and workers to maintain a compliant and supportive work environment in line with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor and maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping at labor accommodations and site facilities.
-Ensure availability and quality of food, drinking water, PPE, and first aid facilities at the site.
-Handle employee grievances and escalate critical issues to HR or management.
-Conduct regular inspections of labor camps and site welfare facilities.
-Assist workers in medical emergencies and liaise with clinics/hospitals when needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Social Work, Human Resources, or a related field.
-Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Welfare Officer in a construction or industrial environment.
