Job Description:
The Operations Manager - Logistics plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the operational processes within the logistics department of the company along with handling laundry operations. This role involves managing a team of logistics professionals, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the efficient movement of Laundry and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics coordinators, supervisors, and Drivers.
· Plan, implement and manage logistics strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
· Coordinate and optimize transportation, and distribution, to minimize costs while maintaining service levels.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics partners, Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable logistics solutions.
· Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes.
· Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to enhance productivity and quality.
· Collaborate with the Laundry manager and other teams to forecast demand and plan logistics capacity accordingly.
· Anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
· Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
· Leverage technology and logistics software systems to optimize routing, scheduling, and tracking of shipments.
· Identify opportunities for technological enhancements and contribute to the implementation of new tools.
· Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, providing updates on logistics operations, challenges, and opportunities.
· Prepare and present reports on logistics performance, trends, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree with proven experience in logistics and operations management for 7+ years
· Track record of successful team leadership and process optimization.
· Strong understanding of supply chain principles, transportation modes, and manufacturing operations.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in logistics software and technology tools.
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
· Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of Local regulations.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
