The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rental activities and projects, from planning and preparation to setup and teardown, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures. They must have a comprehensive understanding of tent structures, safety regulations, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare for tent rentals:
Review and evaluate rental requests to determine the type and size of tent needed
Inspect tents and equipment to ensure they are in good condition
Coordinate with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met
Acquire necessary permits and licenses
Set up and tear down tents:
Supervise the setup and teardown of tents, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
Erect tent frames, install flooring and lighting, and secure tents against the elements
Communicate effectively with tent crew members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
Ensure safety compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols during tent operation
Conduct regular inspections of tents and equipment to identify potential hazards
Implement fire prevention and emergency evacuation plans
Manage tent inventory:
Maintain accurate records of all tent rentals and inventory
Monitor and replenish tent supplies as needed
Track and identify potential damage or wear and tear on tents and equipment
Provide customer service:
Respond to client inquiries and resolve concerns promptly
Ensure that all clients have a positive renting experience
Handle complaints and issues professionally and effectively
Conduct training and development:
Provide training and guidance to tent crew members on safety procedures and equipment operation
Conduct regular safety audits and evaluations
Encourage ongoing learning and professional development
Prepare reports and provide feedback:
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on tent rental activities
Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement
Provide feedback to management on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in the rental industry or a related field
Experience in tent setup and teardown
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a forklift
Certification in tent safety or rigging may be required
