Job Description
The R&D Executive is responsible to oversee and manage the research and development activities related to food products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales team, production personnel and quality departments, to drive innovation, develop new products, improve existing ones, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will contribute to the growth and success of the company by driving product innovation and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development Strategy:
- Develop and execute the company's research and development strategy in line with business objectives and market trends.
- Identify new opportunities for product development, process improvement, and cost optimization.
New Product Development:
- Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring feasibility, safety, and quality.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and competitor products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify consumer needs and translate them into innovative product concepts.
Formulation and Recipe Development:
- Create and optimize recipes, formulations, and processes for new and existing products.
- Source and evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and additives for functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life studies, and stability tests to ensure product quality and safety.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with food safety regulations and ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to secure necessary certifications and approvals for new products.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, quality assurance, and purchase, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during scale-up and production trials.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research organizations to leverage expertise and resources.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research, experiments, and results.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
