Responsibilities :
-Managing the selection and recruitment of all seafarers , directly or through manning agents in accordance with the company SMS procedures .
-Controlling briefing , interviewing , screening and hiring for all seagoing personnel .
-Managing all aspects of seagoing personnel administration .
-Ensuring that each vessel is manned with qualified , medically fit and experienced seafarers and supervising the application of the STCW convention on board .
-Ensuring all officers and crew hold certification as per flag state and other statutory requirements and the crew possesses all the required licenses and the certificates will remain valid for full terms of crew employment .
-Ensuring all offices and crew comply with the sea time requirements as required by oil majors , SIRE companies .
-Checking application form and previous companies records for each seagoing personnel prior to engagement and deal with the same afterwards .
-Verifying that the qualifications and experience of new recruits are genuine .
-To ensure masters and chief engineers are briefed prior joining the vessel .
-Develop and implement the HR strategy and policies for the company that is aligned with the organization's vision, mission, values, and its current and long-term business objectives
Required Qualifications :
·Holding ( at least ) University Bachelor's degree .
.Knowledge of ship particulars and trade .
.Knowledge of National and International Regulations , Flag State Regulations , etc. .
.Extensive knowledge of STCW certification and flag state directives .
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
·Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources , preferably in a shipping company .
·Ability to both relate to and communicate with a wide variety of people and a high level of integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness
·Expert communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
